I am working on a project where I need to grow out cells using tissue culture dishes that are very small. I have been using the 35mm dishes, but these are still too big. Does anyone know if companies sell smaller dishes than that? And related, I would also like to grow cells in a transwell system using individual dishes (as opposed to plates).

You could use multiwell plates instead of individual dishes. A variety of tissue culture treated plates in the standard SBS format are available. You can get them with 6, 12, 24, 48 or 96 wells.
