this question could be not simple , I want to ask that which are the mechanisms could explain for the swollen macrophage after being infected ?
the negative control showed homogenous cell morphology. however, infected cells got heterogenous morphology. blue marked arrow pointing cell which was similar to usual size, but yellow marked arrow poiting cells of tremendously increased size
could the increased size be on early stage of necrotic phenomenom ? (in terms of cells did not have any signal of PI)
