Hello everyone. I'm trying to simulate the diffusion of H2S in a room. Floor is defined as the mass-flow-inlet, and H2S is the only pollutant from the floor. I was wondering the mass flow rate is just that of H2S or the sum of H2S and air. And if the mass flow rate is just that of H2S, would it be 1 for the species-species mass fraction?
And the other question, after running calculation of the case (door as the mass flow inlet), the pollutant discharged (kg/s) is even more than the produced (kg/s).
The liquid flowing has mass and velocity and hence mass flow rate. For the pollutant we measure the mass of the pollutant in kg and we are assuming it is a solid. For the discharged more than produced, it means that there are some reactions taking place and therefore increased mass of the discharged. It may be air as you suggested.
In part because the pollutant is more refined, and specific, or in as a constituent and more mobile, as as in a liquid medium.
