I have synthesized Ni MOF using microwave-assisted synthesis. But the surface area reported is around 300 m2/g or more than that. The degassing temperature for the measurement was taken as 120 C and also 150 C. But in both cases, the surface area did not improve.

1. What could be the probable reason for the lower surface area?

2. What can be done to improve the analysis?

3. Heating the sample before degassing will solve the problem?
