Hi,

I've recently started using the FLUOstar Omega plate reader to perform some basic bacterial growth curves. Before putting the plate in I've been trying to use the temperature incubation function as instructed in the manual to prewarm the plate drawer to 36C as I've read that it is best to do this in advance.

Pretty basic but am I right in thinking that a plate doesn't have to be inside whilst the incubator is warming?

Anyone had error codes when using the incubator function such as,

'Temperature value of top heating element exceeded maximum' Instrument Code 0241
