We have submitted our article for publication in the journal. It contains images collected from the dataset FER2013 (free).
The journal indicated that our paper can't publish without the footnote at the end of the paper :
"the author's hereby confirm they have obtained the consent of the persons depicted in the photographs for publication".
Can anyone help me how to do this?

Dear Hassan Echoukairi I am not an expect in copyright issues but to me it looks like the journal doesn't know where they talk about. Explain to them what FER2013 is and refer to other publications where they use this database as well.
Perhaps stress that you explain it more prominently in the method section and it should be solved. The required footnote is absolute nonsense.
