At present, the flow resistance detection method is widely used to count the red blood cells(RBC) and platelets(PLT) in clinical practice. (the principle is shown in Figure 1).

The question is, the amplitude of the pulse signal only related to the cell volume?

Is the signal amplitude the same for the same volume but different shape RBC(Fig 2 shows different shape RBC)? Has anyone done relevant experiments, thank you.
