Dear ResearchGate Community

I am currently working on determining the micropore and mesopore characteristics of activated carbon. I have obtained porosimeter data and I'm seeking clarification on the appropriate methodology to calculate micropore volume (Vmicro), mesopore volume (Vmeso), micropore surface area (Smicro), and mesopore surface area (Smeso).

Specifically, should I rely solely on the Barrett-Joyner-Halenda (BJH) method for these calculations, or are there alternative techniques that could provide more accurate results?

I would appreciate any insights or guidance on best practices in this regard.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.
