Roshan Singh Thagunna, given that you have asked questions such as yours above, I think you should take a course in statistics that is relevant to your discipline. It's not wise to start pressing buttons in SPSS without having some idea about what you should be doing.

Being familiar with the literature in your area - and what is typically done by good researchers in that literature - should also help.

Just pressing some buttons often ends in bad research (and also often is a sign of bad reserach in general; see below), is usually not really helpful, leads to wrong interpretation of the results, misses to analyze the interesting things, and can be quite desastrous if some reviewer really askes why do did what you did (and why you did not consider this and that).

You should start with understanding the research question, then you should be able to abstract this to a mathematical relation between variables you can actually measure. Empirical science without this ability is really quite worthless (although, unfortunately, not very uncommon, as one can easily see from the badquality of so many published articles).

When you have understood this, it will be clear anyway how the data should be analyzed. After thatyou would look for a tool that is able to do the job (like SPSS, for instance).

You need to study a lot of literatures related to your field of study or discipline, this will give you a guide on the choice of correct statistical analysis to be employed.

Furthermore, the correct statistical analysis will go along with your research objectives. Your objectives will determine the types and number of statistics to be applied on your data.

Remember that your objectives are very important, it determines the data collection methods and analysis in your research.
