I am trying to analyze some results obtained from lipidomics.
The experimental setup was as follows: 5 replicates, 3 conditions (1 control, 2 treatments).
I have thus 5 numerical values per each condition (and so 15 per sample).
I would like to compare these 3 groups of values (control, treatment 1, treatment 2) per each lipid analyzed.
I am now struggling to create the perfect data and variable sheet, as I am used to the GraphPad interface.
Does anybody know how to present this kind of data to SPSS?
I am not sure what your actual concern is? But are you looking for the statistical test that should be done to compare 3 groups of values (control, treatment 1, treatment 2) per each lipid analyzed?
If yes, then perform t-test if your data is normally distributed. If it is not normally distributed then perform Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test.
N.B: please search in google or youtube to learn how to check the normality of the numerical variable.
Thanks for your answer. No, it is about the presentation of the dataset itself, i.e. the data & variable sheet. My aim is just to double check results and expand my stats, thus I wanted to use SPSS, since it has extra tools like Levene for homogeneity of variance and cluster analysis.
If there are tutorials in youtube that can help you, in the sheet is always placed the evaluated vertically and horizontally their respective values of variables including pre, post all sequential must also count variables with their total scores.
