For using Linux OS on windows  you can use VirtualBox or Vmware , actually you install Linux on windows in virtual environment.

second way that i am not sure about it, its Cygwin that you can use Linux software on windows.(Personally i didnt ).

The VMWARE is the best solution so far. But you have to have a robust Hardware. I use VMWARE, for my work and it is very reliable.

You can also use dual boot and partition your disk to both systems:

You can partition you system it works good, VirtualBox is also an option but to perform things it takes time.
