We had a computer crash and re-installed the Agilent MassHunter Software Version B.05.01, build 5.01.5215.1 back on the PC with new hard disks etc. with Agilent recovery CDs as provided.
Everything works great but for the Q-TOF tune report. In aquisition -> Tune context when doing Check Tune or Quick Tune, after tune process Excel starts, but there is no table/pdf generated. In old times, Excel was open for ~3-5 seconds, and then a pdf-file was generated, which now does not happen.
Is there any software issue/tune report template or folder pathway which I need to find/update?
From your question it looks as if the tune completed successfully but it was only the report that failed to be produced.
The first thing to check is your system settings. You must ensure that the date format is using the US date settings (ie MM/DD/YYYY), otherwise the macros in Excel will fail to work.
If this is set correctly, you need to check that the correct add-ins are installed in Excel. There are two versions of the add-ins depending on the version of Excel you are using. If using Excel 2003-7 the add ins have the .XLA extension. if using Excel 2010 the extensions are .XLAM

Thanks a lot to Richard, your tips completely solved the problem. I put some images from the steps performed if someone has trouble with that in the future.
If tune report is not created in Excel software, the MassHunter add-ins are not correctly installed (software issue). They need to be activated and set for the right folder path. We have Excel 2013 program, so the files should end with .xlam. The following images illustrate the steps performed (unfortunately in German language, but the programs look the same). Now it works again :-)
