Being a SoMe Ambassador has many benefits. in this position, one can expand his or her own network and get opportunities for collaborations for the journal and for self. Challenges are that this position is honorary and one has to dedicate substantial amounts of time, which may lead to alternative opportunity cost.

The function and use of social media is often overrated and distorted.
Hence the overvaluation and distortion of the relative "titles".
I agree with you @Gulzar Shah that Social Media ambassador beneficial and challenging at the same time!
Having the suitable SoMe Ambassador at the right time for the suitable mission is mutually beneficial for both : the society and the ambassador!
