As far as I know, there are no reports on genus-specific primers or probes for the real-tme PCR detection of Shigella. Some papers related to detection of Shigella has been published, but, actually, most are not reliable. So, I think that you'd better ask a bioinformatician around you to find out genus-specific genes for detection of the targeted pathogens. Good Luck!
Recently,, I also tried to find out the genus specific genes for shigella using "specific bacterial gene finding softwares" ,, but I found no such sequence which was fully conserved for shigella,,,,
To my knowledge,,, any primers reported for shigella in literature also hit other microorganisms when BLAST and thus, are not reliable.
As the statement by Neetika Rani, the primers for specifically detecting shigella are newly to be designed. That's why it require a little time to confirm the specificity of newly designed primers through computational analysis of bacterial genome sequences. It also needs many strains to verify the specificty of the designed primers.
Actually, main problems to face is getting a importing permission for the strains from the goverment.
