Hi, I have a patient, he is 5 years old. He has bilateral congenital profound hearing loss. He uses bilateral hearing aids. He can talk well. Few months a go he had a sudden hearing deterioration. Now he needs cochlear implant.

His family are planning to go to Australia for living so he has to learn to talk English too. I wonder if he can start learning second language after cochlear implantation? Is it better to wait? How long they have to wait? What they have to consider for learning second language?
