RSV A and RSV B inactivated Virus deaggregation method?

Hi!

RSV A and RSV B inactivated viral stocks from ATTC appear to form aggregates (we can not get reproducible copy numbers). We'd like to try to break up the aggregates. We're considering using sonication, but would be open to other options. All advice is welcome.

I have a few questions...

Could you describe the aggregates in more detail? are these visible aggregates in the stock?

Are you using stock virus directly or preparing your own virus banks?

Do you need infectious virus particles?

What exactly is your endpoint assay you are performing?
