I have been doing RNA clean-up using Qiagen kit, however running out of spin-columns. Any recommendations or advice on how to get new columns without purchasing the kit?

Perhaps there's a researcher at your university who would like to get some extra columns off of their hands?

Has anyone done a side to side comparison with the Epoch columns? They seem too good to be true price-wise and I've accumulated so much leftover buffer from the Qiagen kits over time....

In case you would like to use new columns, you could contact the company to see if they sell only columns.
On the other hand, I could advise you to reuse the columns. After use, wash them with a 0.05 M NaCl solution three times, then give them a final wash with molecular biology grade H20 or, failing that, with deionized water. Finally, you can store the columns for later use.
