Dear researchers,
May I know how to know what metabolites will be produced by the cells from
experiment (Wetlab):
1) Cell (cell culture)
2) Cell infected with virus
3) Cell treated with plant extract
4) Cell infected with the virus and treated with plant extract (antiviral test)
I would like to know after I did every one of these experiments, how should I do for the next steps?
Anyone can suggest any ideas or any protocols for me?

Jennifer Leong 1), 2) and 3) in your list is the 'control group' for experiment 4).
After you treat those cells accordingly, you extract metabolites from them. Different cells (ex. plants, animals, bacteria...) might have their optimized protocol for extraction. You need to find out. Some information about extraction is mentioned in the link below.
After you obtain metabolites, you can analyze them in liquid chromatography (LC) or Gas Chromatography – Mass Spectrometry (GC–MS) based analytical techniques (also mentioned in the link below), or other methods.
When you get the analyzed data, compare the profiles from the 4 samples, to see what is increased/decreased, what are new, what are disappeared...ect. Hope this help.
