Hello,

I have a small white scientific research.

How do you extract nematode DNA from soil? The literature I have seen says that there are two methods, one is to extract total soil DNA using kits (e.g., E.Z.N.A.Soil DNA kit, PowerSoil DNA Isolation Kit kit), and the other is to separate and concentrate the nematode suspension by the shallow disc method, sucrose centrifugation method, or Bellman funnel method to extract DNA.

Which method is most commonly used in research today? And if the second method separates nematodes first and then extracts DNA, is there a more common or recognized isolation method with better results?

Thank you very much for your answers!Best wishes!
