I'm looking for the recipe for a buffer no longer made by qiagen, but that i need for a procedure i'd like to carry out. I'd like to follow the extraction procedure laid out in the attached paper, but unfortunately one of the reagents is this buffer which is no longer in production.
I believe the recipe for this buffer is likely as follows:
3M potassium / 5M acetate
made by adding:
60 ml of 5M potassium acetate (98.14 g in 200 ml dH20)
11.5 ml of glacial acetic acid
28.5 ml dH20
but can anyone confirm this for me? or perhaps tell me if there is some other qiagen buffer that i can use as a substitute?
