I have used the signal provided by the radiometric sensors to segment the RoI and extract the temperature when the equipment has the capabilities. However, in a wider reflection, the segmentation can be done exactly as long as the image is reconstructed in grayscale from the beginning.

Have you had experience with this?

Do you prefer to process the sensor signal prior to imaging, or to obtain the image and then transform it into a signal?

Both ways have the same result, the reconstruction of a well-segmented false color image.
