These NPPs were found in modern soil and moss samples from the central Tunisian Dorsale mountain range. The samples were collected in a riparian forest, a degraded Olea formation and a higher altitude Mediterranean forest dominated by Quercus ilex.

The first one is reminiscent of Brachydesmiella or Diporotheca rhizophila.

The second one has a wider morphological variability but could perhaps suggest a testate amoeba.
