The old adage goes, "Rules are made to be broken."  Rules are created as trampolines to take new leaps in culture. Do you agree? Or should rules be preserved? If so, how can you innovate in your field?  If not, isn´t it true that your field would not exist without rules? What is the best attitude to taken towards established rules in science, medicine, politics, morals, art, literature, music, religion, athletics?  Please offer specific examples of rule-conservation or rule-breaking drawn from fields that you know well. Name outstanding figures who obeyed or disobeyed rules and describe what they did.
