I had someone ordering me the new primers for my PCR and I just realized that the reverse and forward primers have the same sequence. is that possible and does it work? or maybe a mistake happened while ordering?

It is so strange that you are asking this question here. Did you give a thought is it logical or is it correct based basic molecular biology understanding? And did you ask that "someone" or check the order?
This is a copy and paste error. There is no point in having 2 primers of the same sequence.You would just use one primer in this incorrect case. You can often amplify a product using one primer....viral sequences are all over the human genome so often primers can be found that are the same common sequence but face towards each other and techniques using just ba single 9mer will produce amplimers but in your case this just looks like an ordering error
Probably a mistake during order. Those primers are exactly the same and both of them would bind in the same region.
