PVDF membrane is the best to capture and visualize phosphorylated proteins in a western blot since protein phosphorylation is a dynamic process, it would not be easy to detect low abundance of phosphorylated proteins at low levels in cells. As PVDF membrane has a higher binding capacity than nitrocellulose, it is preferred for low abundance phosphorylated targets.
