¿Problems with oligomerization of beta amyloid 1-40 and 1-42?

I'm trying to make oligomers of a recombinant beta amyloid peptide that we obtained from E. coli. We have the peptide already in monomers and the method that I'm using is to resuspend the peptide in PBS buffer pH 8,0 and to let them monomerize at 4 celsius degrees, I let them for 24 hours and even 1 week and they don't aggregate.

We use room temperature and agitation for 4h to obtain oligomers of 1-40, you could try changing those parameters.
