Hi colleagues. I'm extracting DNA in plants. Do you have any recommendations to improve CTAB extraction?

Extraction buffer:

CTAB 2%

NaCl 1.4 M

Tris HCl 100 mM

EDTA 20 mM

Others:

Phenol:Chloroform (1:1)

Ethanol 80%

Absorbance values:

A260= 41.98≈56

A260/280= 1.92≈2.15

you appear to have a lot of rna present so including rnase in the ctab reaction would make the results look better
