Hello I have bought several pieces of fresh chicken (muscle and liver) from the market and used 2 different commercial kit "Animal tissue DNA extraction". Both of these kits were based on Guanidinium thiocyanate, Prot K and columns. No DNA was extracted! Both of kits are working with samples from other species (e.g. sheep and cows blood). Is there any specific hint/tips for DNA extraction from fresh chicken tissue? P.S. I am doing DNA extraction for several years :)

I did successful with Phenol-Chloroform for DNA extract from animal sample.
For blood, it might be easy to break down cell, than animal sample.

Yuo can tray chilling the tissue, and put it in morter to grid finest as you can, after you can use any dna protocol extraction methods,
Thank you all. Finally, some days ago the problem was discovered! DNA staining dye had a problem so we could not see and bands on agarose gel. The extraction protocol worked fine so far.
