I found a problem when I use Corona method to pole my PVDF thin film sample.
I make my sample on PEN substrate which is coated with a layer of Al as bottom electrode, and spin coating PVDF on Al layer. When I use Corona system to pole PVDF thin film (20 kV and 10 min), the Al underneath needle is removed without damaging PVDF film, i.e. under the electric field, the Al electrode is removed without breaking down PVDF thin film.
As I think, the thin PVDF film may be damaged as voltage is too high, but now, the PVDF film is fine, the electrode is removed, exposing plastic substrate.
Is anyone meeting this problem before ?

20 kV and 10 min is ok but what about the spacing between sample and field. Please check this:

How thick is your PVDF film?? you should calculate your voltage based on you film thickness

Many Thanks for reply. Thickness of my PVDF film is about 1.5 um.
I have tried put clean Al deposited glass substrate in Corona system with high voltage, the Al film is damaged by high electric field, some materials are sputtered away. However, the sample with PVDF film shows a damaged Al area, but PVDF is fine and not damaged. This makes me very confused.

Based on your film thickness for 1.5 um you need at least a voltage of 1.5KV
There are many studies in which you can extract the data from hysteresis and film thickness dependence.
With a 1.5KV voltage you should experience less damage to your aluminum film.
If you still need 20KV, then you should add an adhesion layer to you PEN substrate and then deposit aluminum
