Identification of Snidbis and Chikungunya Viruses
We Need positive control for RT-PCR's of Sindbis and Chikungunya viruses , could anyone kindly provide them , they could be plasmid/s containing a part of these Viruses Genome ?
I do not speak English but I think a good solution would you design one minigenome. to synthesize only after (he must be designed based on a consensus gene sequences of each virus that would amplify), and usually they come in a plasmid and can then clone it and would have a control to whatever you want displayed. We only have isolated virus, but if you need a control and are not able to design a minigenome, you can ask plasmids for one or two Chikungunya genes to Scott Weaver in UTMB, he is normally really eager to help researchers in developing countries, however it is important to know that US regulations apply. If you only need RNA for RT-PCR positive control, you can contact the CDC or the OMS that takes care of your region in the world. I hope this helps.
