Sir, both therapy has its own prospect ....but when it comes economy or which one is more economic for an entrepreneur point of view as well as a regulatory point of view it always comes polyherbal ....its surely has no doubt polyherbal ...there may be some standardised compounds or some are not but we don't know whether they will create any herb-drug reaction or not .although its regulatory guideline is not as stringent as mono herbal like phytopharmaceutical .....being a health care personnel we should take care of the risk management also ..that is why nutraceutical like polyherbal formulation are highly acceptable but after proper pre-clinical and clinical studies only ..at the same time these all works under functional food and supplementary ...for mono herbal Phyto like products as they are standardised ..when they prescribed in a proper manner may create fast effect to a physiological system than polyherbal ...but surely for many polyherbal exceptional case is there in different folklore treatment .......but both poly and monoherbal supplements are emerging area in global market, Satyajit Sarker
