there are several e. coli expression vectors from Qiagen (pQE-vectors, T5 promoter) or Novagen (i. e. pET21a, T7 promoter) that I have been used for recombinant protein production. The selection of a suitable expression vector depends on several things like N- or C-terminal tag or expression host. I recommend the expression handbook "QIAExpressionist".
