I have almost completed my MS thesis degree. i worked on sRNA expression and silencing of virulent gene of avian Pathogenic E coli, hoping to publish my work soon. I want to pursue my education in the field of antibacterial therapy, virulence gene expression and antibiotic resistance. I am working on research proposal and there are many ideas like "antibiotic resistance gene variation with respect to drugs and virulence gene adoption analysis". i need some suggestion about ideas and latest project ongoing related to it. it will also be good to know if some one suggest quality lab for antibiotic resistance work. Thanks
I would say look for some lab at Rockefeller University and try to connect with scientists from there. There are pretty cool stuffs happening on Microbiology.
Yes its very good field for research so you can choose any good laboratory which are working in this area
Sayed - have you picked a university for your studies? If so, read through the work of each faculty member to find work that is interesting to you and then talk to the faculty member (or write them if you are not nearby) and ask about the opportunities in their lab.
If you are looking for a school and program, look at the research articles in these fields and write to the authors of the good papers. They can tell you about opportunities in their labs or others they are familiar with.
