Hello every one. I have been trying to grow Pisolithus tinctorius by putting vermiculite and 250 ml MMN media in plastic bag. I have put Pisolithus tinctorius on the top of bag, then I covered them with lid. As far as I can see that bag is not so wet enough to allow the growth of Pisolithus this is my opinion. Firstly I put the vermiculite in bag and then MMN media. After that step I autoclaved them and opened at Laminar flow chamber to put the mycelium of Pisolithus. So far no any growth. Can anybody help me in this matter? I look forward suggestions. I attach picture.
Culturing and productive cultivation are certainly not my areas of expertise but since Pisolithus is a mycorrhizal fungus, I would not expect it to behave as a saprobe by colonizing a non-vital substrate.
