I hope you are all well.
I wrote a research article related to runway inspection and automated runway safety. This research article includes a hardware and software system, tests and comparisons and good results. I also make sure that the writing and the English is perfect.
I have submitted the manuscript to three journals indexed in web of science but I it get rejected before it sent for peer review. I just want to know why??
The reasons of rejection is general like this:
" We are writing to inform you that we will not be able to process your submission further. Submissions sent for peer-review are selected on the basis of discipline, novelty and general significance, in addition to the usual criteria for publication in scholarly journals. Therefore, our decision is not necessarily a reflection of the quality of your work"
I believe that you did not submit your article simultaneously for three journals!
Rejection of articles from journals is not a pleasant experience at all. Unfortunately, I believe that almost all authors have this experience at least once in their career since it is something that difficult to escape at least in the early years of his/her publishing. Desk rejection is a part of editorial review and as I know, a considerable number of articles are usually rejected at this early stage due to numerous reasons. Among the others, incompatibility of the scope of journal and the subject area discussed by the article, insignificant topics, insignificant results, topics with higher frequency, poor writing, difficulty of finding reviewers for the specific topic of the article, (perhaps) formatting (basically word limit, figures, tables, etc.) could be the most common reasons for desk rejection.
Thus, rejection should not be a reason for discouraging. Try to polish your article further. Think twice what you have missed in your previous version. Think what can you incorporate based on editor's/reviewer's comments. Check everything once more and submit for the next journal. If you need, contact a peer in your area. You could find more ideas on selecting an appropriate journal.
If you think your article has issues with its significance, but technically sounds, perhaps, you could try a good mega journal (you may need funds for publication).

No no, I haven't submitted it simultaneously for three journals, I just got a quick rejection and then I tried another two.

I think a freelance of a specialty related to the topic and experience to add appropriate references and appropriate modifications as well and good luck in advance.
Please review and Resubmit
if they reject it
again Repeat the same.
