I came across a problem in my research.

Among Bigfive Personality traits:

1. Openness to experience,

2. Conscientiousness,

3. Extroversion,

4. Agreeableness, and

5. Neuroticism,

I would like to find which predictors are significant for depression.

I read about the weaknesses of Stepwise analysis for such operation.

If there any alternatives for the purpose which can be carried out in SPSS?

I read that Least Absolute Shrinkage and Selection Operator (LASSO) is a good alternatives, but I cant find it in SPSS.

Thanks in advanced. Have a nice day.
