Other Methods to Measure the Release of Proteins/Compounds From Biomaterials?

Hi all,

I appreciate any help with this question. I am developing alginate beads with a 1.5/2cm diameter containing cells that produce a protein. I am measuring the release of this protein and would be interested in knowing of any other methods to measure the release. So far I have been using surface dissolution imaging which uses UV light to image but any other technique would be great so I can compare.

Hi, dear Abdullah Iqbal. There are different methods to measure (quantify) the release of a protein (or any other molecule) in a medium. Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA, High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), and other chromatography techniques (you can choose the proper technique based on the targeted protein and budget!)
