I am trying to transfect several genes into SF9 cells and express the proteins, but facing some problems. I am using Cellfectin II for transfection. I use around 10 ug of DNA per million of cells. I am not getting any success in first step of virus generation. I realize that the DNA concentration is too high. I wanted to know what are the DNA concentration which people generally use. I use the "quick and dirty" prep of bacmid preparation followed by PCR to confirm the presence of my gene of intrest. My cells are healthy are healthy too!

Can somebody suggest the what range of DNA conc works the best ( I understand it differs from gene to gene, i just need a ball park range)?
