Im doing some nonlinear time history analysis on my 15 story steel model.
the analysis doesnt have any problems with two of the earthquakes but for one of them,northridge earthquake, I see an error . " non-convergence"
what should I do?

May be you need to define the parameter space. As you mentioned about non appearance of problems in two except the northridge one, this implies redefining your parameters pace. Another point to be considered is to have a look at convergence tolerance as it also sometimes leads to non-convergence.

most of the time, non - convergence happens because of dynamic instability and poverty of solution method ( like newton and newton-Raphson ). you can come to define - load case - in nonlinear time history analysis you will saw a parameter with the name of nonlinear parameter - click on it - by increasing of iterations, decreasing of iteration tolerance and using event to event stepping I hope you will overcome to this problem. but totally opensees and perform 3D are better programs for nonlinear analysis.
