Nickel etching solution selective to copper ?

Hi,

I am looking for a nickel etching solution that do not attack electropalted copper (20µm).

The Ni thickness is around 5 µm. I can't use electrochemistry, I need to use etching solution.

Dear David, Nickel is insoluble in ammonia and is unaffected by concentrated nitric acid and alkalis. Copper reacts with concentrated nitric acid and also reacts with ammonia. So try experimenting with concentrated nitric acid or ammonia water.
