Hi all, I am trying to do a dynamic mesh simulation in Ansys Fluent with 6DOF on a rotor, but the console gives an error of negative cell volume when running simulation, and I cannot preview my mesh apparently. Posts online outline 2 usual problems.
1. A timestep size too high
2. The cell moving in steps too large
But I have tried to resolve the above by setting a rather low timestep size of 1e-5, and have the length scales the same as the ones in mesh scale info. The problem still stands. The project is fine to run a simulation without dynamic mesh, so I'm pretty sure something goes wrong on Dynamic Mesh but I don't know what. I am running on Laminar, Pressure-based Coupled with a varying massflow udf input and constant pressure output. The Rigid-Wall is placed on the rotor wall, tried also setting Deforming on the interior domain but the problem doesn't resolve.

Dear Yui Yan Lai, the parameter setting here, you can check it, it doesn't seem to conform to the setting logic.
Hi! Excuse me, what do you mean by not conforming to the setting logic? Are those not just values copied from the mesh scale info? I-Po Tai
I-Po Tai Do you mean I should decrease the max and increase the min length scale? So that the cells do not move so fast first?
