Hi,
I am working on transfecting mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) but it seem much more difficult than expected. For CHO cells, lipofectamine LTX works good but for MSCs not. It is too toxic for these cells and most of them are killed in a day after transfection. Is there any one who have experiment with lipofectamine 3000 or nanocin (Tecrea)? Which one is better for MSCs transfection?

I am now working with ASCs and I always transfect them using lipofectamine 3000 or lipofectamine rnaimax (I did an experiment to see the transfection efficiency of both, and it was similar for both reagents). I am having good results with this type of transfection, I transfect the cells in suspension, using Optimem, and then I wait until cells adhere to the plate to change to regular medium.
