Does anybody have any idea about how the mTOR pathway can affect apoptosis? Or what is the kind of relationship between these 2 cellular pathways?
In fact, mTOR innately is a survival factor that regulates lots of natural pathway like translation in the cells. mTOR pathway mostly act as an inhibitor of apoptosis if it can but in some cases apoptotic factors down regulate mTOR pathway. Actually I think this factor prefer to lead cells into being alive even if they go through Autophagy or Senescence pathways.
