You have two major choices:

1- Model the pore-scale of flow in porous media. For that you need a strong computational power, and CTScan or MRI of the brick for geometry of porous media structure. That flow is slow (creeping flow not turbulent) and you may use any CFD code for low Reynolds number to solve that, for example Ansys-Fluent.

2- Use an up-scaling to model water movement in the brick. This modeling approach can be done with a strong workstation (you do not need a cluster). Therein, there are some closures for water flow and porous media geometry, so you do not really solve the low Reynolds number N-S equations. Rather than you solve some simplifications of that to represent the phenomenon. Any 3D code for flow in unsaturated porous media can be used for this purpose. For example Hydrus 3D.

If I go through the second approach, is it possible to model my specimen in COMSOL Multiphysics or WUFI 2D rather than Hydrus 3D?
