My question is regarding a math model of forest fires, not whether fire terminations should be pursued. Given a model, we can determine how best to do the job at hand. Model first! If ever needed, we will know what needs to be done.

Muhammad, where does the wildfire's terrain come onto play? Did a search on your article and found nothing in regards to terrain, nor slope, nor tree density. Did I miss something? Have you tried a Calculus (Level) Language / Compiler, e.g. FortranCalculus (it's free!), in order to solve your proposed equations? It's quick and easy to code. Thanks, Phil
