Hi All,

I am going to transfect a specific miRNA into snu449 and hepG2 cells.

I am still confused about which to buy as qiagen has two different lines of mimics and inhibitors, miRCURY line or miScript line.

Did anyone here knows the difference or tried them before and can help me?

Also, I don't know which transfection agent should I buy Hiperfect ( from qiagen) or lipofectamin 3000 or lipofectamin RNAiMAX ( from applied biosystems) ?

Finally are there any specific requirements for the negative control? we have All-star negative control (from qiagen) at our lab and I want to use it. However, I find that companies sell specific negative controls for the miRNA mimics and others specific for miRNA inhibitors?!! Is that a must ? Or just one negative control can be sufficient?

Thank you
