The current classification of Crassiclitellata according to WoRMS is puzzling me.
The crassiclitellata (http://marinespecies.org/aphia.php?p=taxdetails&id=468018) is divided into 2 suborders, the Lumbricina De Blainville, 1830 and Megascolecida (unknown author). The fact that I can't find any author of Megascolecida is a bit strange. I have googled it, looked in biodiversityheritage library and looked through my papers...but still no author. Still, many papers on the family Megascolecidae, but not for the suborder. Any clue about the author and current higher classification of earthworms?
There is no general agreement upon this at the moment. Here you can find an overview and a possible higher classification.
