Hello, I am planning to simulate summer outdoor conditions in the lab to check the growth of my algal strains in Northern Sweden during summer season. From weather data, I got an average of 18 hours of light with an average light intensity of 900 uE. Anyway, since I am working with a small photobioreactor (up to 100 ml of culture), I think I cannot supply so much light, otherwise nothing will grow. Am I right? I know that over 200-300 uE photoinhibition occurs. So, I want to keep the 18 h of light, but I am not sure on how to adjust the intensity. Any suggestion?
