Pulsotron-500K-Mag has a donut thin form. Outside coils will reach peaks of some dozen kiloamps only (between 1khz and 15Mhz). The problem if aluminium would create eddy current losses, copper also, plastics are so weak and steel could be magnetic and makes some eddy also.
