In which macrophage receptor PLGA (poly(latic-co-glycolic acid) binds to be phagocytosed? I'm referring to the PLGA itself, it means: non-coated and non-loaded with any substance.
I don't know if anybody really knows. We just assume its some sort of scavenger receptor(s). Even thought the beads are "uncoated", macrophages will bind to plastic... maybe it's a combination of adhesion molecules and scavenger receptors???
